Hebrews 3:6                                                  Be confident that God will direct  you on health decisions

 Hebrews 3:6
But Christ is faithful as a son over God's house. And we are His house, if we hold on to our courage and hope of which we boast.

We can use the spiritual context of this scripture to apply to our physical lives. We know Christ is faithful to take care of His Father's house and right here, the Scripture tells us we are His house! When we look up "house" in it's original Greek, we see we are God's family, dwelling place, household, temple.

We need to hold onto the promises of God's Word and we can "hope" (Greek: expect, have confidence, have faith) that through Christ, both our spiritual "house" or "temple" and our physical bodies (house, temple) that house Christ's Holy Spirit will be cared for.

With all of this in mind, seek God on how He wants us to take care of our "house" (body). We are all different and only God knows our inmost needs physically, spiritually and emotionally. We need to seek Him and obey Him and not always listen to what other people tell us. Sometimes just the act of obedience to God will bring more healing than the tasks He instructs us to carry out for our health. Have faith that God will direct you in all of your needs..... seek Him FIRST, then listen and obey and you will be blessed in all you do. This scripture tells us Christ is faithful, let's hold onto the courage and hope of Christ and trust Him to guide us with our health decisions.

We should also pray with others and encourage one another Hebrews 3:13: "But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness."

So, using the original Greek language for "house" and "hope", we could paraphrase Hebrews 3:6 as: But Christ is faithful as a son over God's temple (family, dwelling place, household). And our bodies are His temple, (His family, His dwelling place and His household), if we hold on to our courage and confidence and have faith of which we boast.  (We boast in Christ)
